In addition to private tutoring, Miss Judy teaches at a Silicon Valley afterschool and summer camp enrichment program, with focus on communication skills, including language arts, public speaking, critical thinking, creative writing, and vocabulary.

She is also a substitute teacher in a K-8 San Mateo County school district during the school year - she's a well-rounded, local favorite with terrific references.

And, when she can squeeze it all in, she volunteers for various local efforts to improve the schools and to preserve local history.

One of Miss Judy's special areas of understanding is helping kids who've recently moved and had to change schools in the middle of the year.  When she was a kid, she had to do that many times, so she knows how challenging those transitions can be. A little extra help can go a long way.
